The SHELI Fund operates in order to assist local groups and organizations in their
environmental activism. In addition to the financial grant, the fund offers tools in various fields in which the organizations require help.

Over the years, it has become apparent to the SHELI Fund that local activists require
professional counseling in various fields and that, in general, the organizations cannot afford the cost of such assistance that limits their environmental action.

To answer this need, the GEF (Green Environment Fund) supports a few professional
organizations in various fields, and these organizations offer their assistance, free of
charge, to the local activist groups according to relevant criteria.

In addition GEF supports a few extra tools that enhance local activism and help in nation
wide networking.
