Grant Application Instructions

The Green Environment Fund is the chief donor to the SHELI Fund, a fund for
small grants in fields related to the environment.

The SHELI Fund's goal is to encourage environmental action on the local and national levels. The Fund grants financial as well as in-kind support to public activities, with an emphasis on encouraging community organizations based on volunteerism and issues connected to improving environmental quality.
The SHELI Fund will place priority on groups with limited resources.

The SHELI Fund has a panel of professional environmentalist judges who will examine the applications and decide, within the budget's limitations, which applicants will receive positive responses. We have gone to great efforts to simplify the application process as much as possible. The following are the instructions to be adhered to:

Subject of the activity:
Must be related to improving environmental quality

Entitled to Apply to the Fund:

1. Voluntary, non-profit bodies

2. Action committees applying through registered non-profit organizations
(amutot)-these applicants must also fill out the additional appendix

Authorizations:
The following organizational authorizations (as detailed) must be attached:

· Registration certificate (amuta, non-profit organization)

· Authorization of VAT (value-added tax) registry

· Authorization as a public institution / bookkeeping administration

Monetary grant amount:
Up to 15,000 NIS -applications requesting greater sums will not receive replies

Essential information:
The following sections of the application form must be strictly filled out:

1. Contact information (telephone number, contact person's name, etc.)

2. Goal

3. Clear and condensed description of the action plan for achievement of the goal

4. Proposed budget
